Slow cooked pork is easily my favourite meat. In fact most meats slow cooked are an absolute winner. Pulled pork is traditionally made using a fattier cut like the shoulder and trimmed of fat after cooking. Whilst the fat does help a little with flavour, when cooking in a sauce the difference isn’t worth the calories! So here I used a pork tenderloin which is a much leaner cut of meat, this also means it takes less time to cook!!
- 600g Pork Tenderloin
- 1 Red Onion, diced
- 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 200g BBQ Sauce
- Chop the onion and garlic finely and place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the tenderloin on top of the onion and garlic.
- Pour the BBQ Sauce over the tenderloin making sure to cover all the meat. Cook on low for 6-7 hours.
